Zombies Rise They are not mindless robots. They are zombies infested by the demon Siqqusim, and imbued with the knowledge of their host. They can speak, use tools, set traps… and so on. In addition, the infection is not limited to humans, but has spread to the surrounding wildlife. There are zombie rats, zombie birds, and even zombie deer. Siqqusim’s goal: to destroy the world.
Rise: Doomsday scenario selection yes this Rise Franchise rights (which also include this RiseCity dead person’s, and Rise: Liberation) is a collection of 34 short stories, most of which are micro-fiction. These stories are inspired by fans who paid Keene to write them into his universe. Each story is accompanied by a description in the story notes at the back of the book. The stories include:

Each story focuses on one (or more) survivors, recounting their ordeal in the apocalypse. Most die at the hands of the zombie horde Siqqusim. However, what makes this book different from the rest of the series is the final few short stories. These stories go beyond Siqqusim, detailing the coming of Elilum (an insect and plant plague) and Teraphim (a fire demon). In doing so, Keen answers the reader’s questions about what to expect after reading this book. City of the Dead.
As expected with any collection, the stories are a mixed bag. The quality varies, but so do the ways in which the subject matter is handled. Some of the stories are very dark, while others take a more humorous tone. The most telling, “Spoilers,” deals with Mike Goffee and his need to share his love of books with everyone, even the demonic Siqqusim. The story’s witticisms, like Brian Keene’s Dark Hollow series.
Unfortunately, all the stories are too short. Most are only 4 to 5 pages long. By the time the reader falls in love with the plot, the story is over. Rise and City of the Dead It is necessary to obtain many references.
Rise: Doomsday scenario selection This book is not for beginners. It requires that you have read other books and already like the subject. If you do this, Featured scenes is a great addition to the library. It fills in gaps in the other novels and expands on the themes.
