I wrote my first book review in 1984. Darkness Falls Author: Dean R. Koontz. Although Dean has been writing for fifteen years, Darkness Falls This is the third major work (whisper and phantom The book was published and became a bestseller. I bought the hardcover in 1984 because I phantom The year before, I had received a recommendation from Robert Weinberg, who was selling horror, fantasy, and science fiction books out of his home in Chicago. Bob is also a science fiction short story writer and can be found on Facebook. One thing I quickly learned about Bob is that when he says a book is great, it really is great. When it comes to horror novels, I always follow his advice.

Now remember, this was before computers, email, and attachments. I had to put a real piece of paper into a typewriter, write my review, and then find somewhere to mail it. That place turned out to be Fantasy mongers The newsletter, published four times a year, is compiled by W. Paul Ganley, who likes what I send him and agrees to publish my reviews in his newsletter for as long as I write them for him.

My Comments Darkness Falls This review is short compared to later reviews, but my enthusiasm for this book is overwhelming. I want to share my love of fiction with other fans, and the best way to do that is to write a review and let others know about a particular novel.

Once the gates of Hell are fully opened, there is only one man who can save New York City from carnage: Detective Jack Dawson.

Lavelle realizes that this man poses a threat to his revenge plan, so he tries to suppress Dawson by hunting down Dawson’s two children. At this time, the struggle between “good” and “evil” really begins!

like phantom, There are many creepy scenes throughout the novel. Trust me, you don’t want to read this book at night. Now, every sound I hear in my house on cold, dark nights gives me goose bumps. Being scared is not a pleasant feeling, but that’s how I felt reading Darkness Falls. Read this novel at your own risk. If you do, you may soon experience the same feelings I did. ”

29 years later, I’m still reading and reviewing novels by Dean Koontz (he dropped the “R” a few years ago.) Hopefully, we all get better with time.
