The first book in the Trevor Lowe series
When Tony Frost and his colleague Jack Denton arrive for holiday at Monks Cottage, an ancient cottage deep in the Somerset countryside, local villagers immediately warn them and scribble a message in crimson on the window pane:
“There is danger. Leave as soon as possible!”
Tony enlists his friend, renowned playwright and criminologist Trevor Lowe, to help – but the investigation takes a sinister turn when the body of a missing real estate agent is found behind a locked door in the cottage.
