Well, this book is too good to be true. But I will give it a try!
So, essentially, we have a werewolf, Zuri, who is in an abusive relationship. I adore Zuri as a character. She has so much depth and personality. This woman is so kind and loving at heart. So loving, in fact, that she refuses to kill anything. Her boyfriend, Dean, is a complete tool. He’s arrogant, sexist, and a complete asshole. I despise him.
So, you roughly know how the story begins. While on the run, Zuri ends up being a prisoner of a disgusting old man who has a collection of all sorts of monsters that are kept captive.
We follow Zuri as she enters this unsettling, weird, and exciting new world. Although some of the monsters are friendly, this determined werewolf has no desire to be imprisoned in this monster house. Can she figure out a way to escape?
This book is amazing! From the brand new monsters, new twists on classic monsters, the storyline, the tension, the funny moments, and even the setting: the desert.
Cindy’s writing flows naturally. The pace is fast and eliminates the boring moments that usually occur in the best books in the world. Hats off to the author!
PS: Although Jeremiah can be cruel at times, I actually enjoy his sarcastic quips and remarks.
So if you like books with monsters, horror, tension, great descriptions, unexpected twists, and unforgettable climaxes, then I suggest you buy a copy now!
