Before the outbreak, Zed Zane was a regular guy. Now, he’s infected. But he’s a rare guy. He and his compatriot Murphy are “Chronic.” They carry the disease but haven’t turned into mindless zombies yet. That provides some advantages for surviving in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Austin, Texas.
Zed Zane has become a hero. He saves young women and gathers resources for survivors in need while fighting the infected that are consuming the city. Some are even calling him a superhero, or “Zero Point” as Murphy calls him. So far, luck has been on Zed’s side, but how long can anyone’s luck last?
Infected Find exactly Zero Day （Slow Cooker, Book 1) leaves. Zed and Murphy set out on a journey to East Austin in search of Murphy’s mother. Along the way, they’ll encounter hostile soldiers, doomsday bunkers, catastrophic fires, and other survivors, including Zed’s unhinged partner: Russell!
although Due to feesComputed tomography The second book retains the adventurous qualities of the first novel, adding more humor to the story. Since the setting was already established in the previous book, the focus is on character development. Zed and Murphy are quick to point out each other’s shortcomings, and they are the zombie genre’s The Odd Couple.
That’s not to say the world around them doesn’t change. As time passes, the zombies begin to show signs of group behavior. Zed and Murphy will have to adapt if they want to survive in this strange new world, or at least hope their luck doesn’t run out.
If you like Slow Fire: Day Zero, Book 1you will like Slow Burn: Infection, Book Two. Adair’s writing style is easy to understand and his stories are interesting. However, the book ends on a typical Adair cliffhanger. Unless you plan to read the entire series, you will definitely be dissatisfied with the ending.
