Nicole Cushing’s novella, The Sadist’s Bibleproves why she is one of the best horror writers in the business. Themes of anti-theism, reverse eugenics, and homosexual repression are all incorporated into this fascinating yet sharp novella.
Cushing’s portrayal of God as a would-be rapist, and the hedonism that ensues in the title character’s wake, belongs in a Lars von Trier film.
I must admit, I am extremely open to everything in life, but Sadismof Bible Kicked me in the head a few times. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Cushing blatantly ignored everything. Morality It’s a delightful trip to Nietzsche’s city. Add plenty of Dante and Voltaire, mix the ingredients in an Anton LaVey pot, and pair it with a glass of Salman Rushdie.
Cushing is a master of her craft. Also, how could anyone write that God had sex with me and now I have a deformed child without blinking an eye? It was bold, riveting, depraved, and downright weird! And you know what, dear readers? I loved it. It’s not easy for a person, especially a writer, to make such a crazy leap of faith. will It either makes you run away or leaves you wanting more filthy filth. I choose the latter, because it’s rare that one encounters such visceral, utterly insane reality.
I could go on and on about Cushing’s talent, but I want to keep this review short and sweet, like Cushing’s novella.

you must read Sadismof Bible Keep an open mind. The symbolism is gratuitous and blunt, but put your own moral code aside and give it a chance. You can’t call yourself a horror fiction lover if you haven’t read this novella.
